VEDA & THE STRING MACHINE
Veda & The String Machine brings together a jazz quartet and a classical string section in an intimate yet expansive musical dialogue. The compositions move fluidly between improvisation and orchestral structure, exploring space, color, and emotion.
Each piece is conceived as a conversation — between the immediacy of jazz and the grace of chamber music, between harmonic richness and melodic simplicity. Veda’s writing captures both vulnerability and strength, translating deeply personal experiences into luminous, expressive soundscapes. The ensemble’s sound is cinematic, emotional, and sophisticated, revealing a new voice in contemporary European jazz. Guiding listeners through moments of playful childhood, grief, joy, and celebration, the project stands as a tribute to life.
The ensemble completed a creative residency at Opderschmelz (Dudelange, LU), where the debut album was recorded. Its release is planned for June 6th, 2026 at Philharmonie Luxembourg. Supported by Opderschmelz, SACEM, the Œuvre Grand-Duchesse Charlotte, and presented with KulturLX.
This summer, the amphitheater transforms into a unique setting. Selected concerts are presented in a Close-Up format – bringing the audience closer to the artists than ever before.
