José González
Alternative/Indie, Folk
The Swedish-Argentinian singer-songwriter José González has managed to conquer the world’s great stages with only three solo albums in 18 years – from Sydney to Berlin and Barcelona, all the way to London’s prestigious Royal Albert Hall.
Since his debut single Crosses in 2003, González has remained true to his intimate and introspective style. His music is characterized by delicate guitar playing, a soft, almost whispered voice, and minimalist arrangements that create a meditative, almost hypnotic atmosphere. With his highly anticipated fourth album, Local Valley, he seamlessly continues this singular aesthetic. The work exudes a rare serenity, offering a soothing refuge in a loud and fast-paced world.
As always, he blends refined melodies with profound lyrics, proving once again that true greatness does not need to be loud to shine. This year, González returns to the Festival de Wiltz, where he last performed in 2017, captivating the audience once again with his enchanting sound.
