Carminho
Fado
Carminho, daughter of the legendary fado singer Teresa Siqueira, was born in Portugal, surrounded by the sounds of guitars and the deep emotions of fado. At the age of twelve, she took the stage for the first time, and in 2009, she released her debut album, Fado, which immediately achieved platinum status.
With her fifth album, Maria, she took a new direction by incorporating her own compositions and blending fado tradition with a modern perspective. In 2023, she released Portuguesa, a work that deeply reflects her strong connection to Portugal’s musical heritage and earned her a nomination for the Latin Grammy Awards.
With her unique voice, exceptional talent as a singer and songwriter, and unwavering artistic dedication, Carminho has established herself as one of the leading figures of fado in her generation.
