Weeltzer Musik – Esou kléngt Wooltz

This year, as part of its traditional concert “Esou kléngt Wooltz”, the Harmonie Grand-Ducale Municipale Wiltz, under the direction of Tom Braquet, welcomes Luxembourgish trumpeter Ernie Hammes. A resident of Eschdorf, he is not only a trumpeter but also an arranger, composer, singer, and big band leader, active in both jazz and classical music.

A member of the Grand Ducal Military Band since 1987, he has collaborated with legends such as The Supremes, Paul Anka, Chaka Khan, Youssou N’Dour, and the Duke Ellington Orchestra. He has performed in iconic venues like the Blue Note and Birdland in New York, as well as at prestigious jazz festivals in Montreux, The Hague, and Toronto.
